Co-op Bank has today unveiled its Visa Business Cards in Kenya. The cards are targeting Medium and Small Business Enterprises, Cooperative Societies and Corporate Institutions. Co-op Bank will have three different cards, Debit Card, a Credit Card and a Pre-paid Business Cards.

The Co-op Visa business cards can be used both locally and internationally. They allow customers to separate business expenses from personal expenses, make payments directly from their business account, access interest-free credit to manage cash flow, digitize and track office and travel expenses.

These cards are available to current Co-op Bank customers as well as non-customers and can be obtained from any Co-op Bank branch countrywide.

Speaking during the launch, Co-op Bank’s Ag. Director of Retail Banking Mr. Moses Gitau said the launch of these cards marks a major milestone in the bank’s digital transformation journey. The bank has heavily invested in this in this journey and spent Ksh 5 billion to upgrad its core banking system back in 2023.  

Visa East Africa Vice President and General Manager emphasized the importance of this partnership saying, “Digital payments are not just convenient; they are a catalyst for business growth and economic development. In today’s fast-paced digital world, businesses need to adapt to stay competitive, and digital payments play a crucial role in this transformation.”
