Samsung has today officially launched the Galaxy S24 FE in Kenya which is available starting from Ksh 91,000. At this price, the S24 FE is not cheap as you can get the standard S24 for as low as 90K or even the S24 Ultra from some retailers for as low as Ksh 118,000. This makes the S24 FE a bit confusing and may be hard to justify buying it. Still it is a good phone for anyone who does not want the S24 series or is not patient enough to wait for the S25.
Even though Samsung says the S24 FE will be available for 91K, some retailers like GadgetsLeo have the phone listed for Ksh 80,000. 11K off the official retail price is good but keep in mind some of these devices may not have the 2-year Samsung East Africa warranty but may only have the warranty offered by the shop.
As expected, the Galaxy S24 FE borrows a few things from the Galaxy S24 from earlier this year. It features a glass back with 3 vertically arranged cameras. It has an aluminium frame with a flat display with Gorilla Glass Victus+ for both the screen and the back of the phone. The phone is available in 5 color options of Blue, Graphite, Gray, Mint, and Yellow.
“We aim for everyone to enjoy all the benefits of our latest mobile innovations with a more accessible price range,” said Evelyn Munene the Head of Product and Marketing at Samsung East Africa. “Galaxy AI gives access to diverse new experiences for users, helping them communicate, and be more creative and productive. Galaxy S24 FE makes the powerful performance and premium Galaxy AI capabilities of the S24 series available to even more people.
