Farada Group, a Polish Drone manufacturer is set to establish a drone manufacturing company in Kenya.
“We intend to take up a parcel of land here at Konza Technopolis to establish a drone manufacturing company for Kenya and the whole of Africa,” Adam Cudny, Farada Group Chairman said. Konza Technopolis has designated a drone zone for the assembly and operations of drones.
Speaking during the company’s display and demonstration of its drones to various potential customers at Konza Technopolis, Adam indicated that they had obtained all necessary regulatory approvals from the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) to operate their drones in the country.
“We have all the necessary approvals and we have established a local company to implement the project”Farada has various types of drones that are used for surveillance of wildlife, power lines, monitoring disasters such as floods, wild fire and delivery of goods such as medical products and other goods. it
is a manufacturer, operator and integrator of drones. In February this year, the Poland President paid a state visit to Kenya and Farada Group offered to donate a drone to Kenya. Wildlife Services (KWS) to aid it in surveillance of its national parks. “We have kept our promise and delivered to KWS the drone that we committed to when we accompanied our President during his state visit to Kenya,” Joanna Rutkowski, Farada Group Chief Operating officer said. According to Joanna, Farada is targeting to well it’s drones to players such as Kenya Power, KETRACO for surveillance of their power lines, energy, county governments for medical supplies, logistical companies for faster delivery of goods. It’s drones has capacity to carry upto 1000 kilograms.
