Education CS Ezekiel Machogu this morning announced the release of the 2023 KCSE examination results. He revealed that 1,216 candidates got Grade A which is a slight improvement from 2022 where 1,146 candidates got Grade A. On the other hand, over 48,000 candidates got Grade E.
Unlike previous years, results can be accessed through KNEC’s website and not SMS. The KNEC website is inaccessible as of writing this so you may want to check later or just be patient.
How to Check 2023 KCSE Results on the KNEC Portal
- Head over to the KNEC website https://results.knec.ac.ke/.
- Enter the candidates Index number and name.
- Submit the information and if the details are correct, you will get the results for that specific candidate.
In previous years, the results could also be accessed via SMS for Ksh 25. This is no longer available. I do not really understand the reasoning behind this as some candidates and their parents may not have access to the internet. The SMS method was convenient but expensive but the portal option is not that efficient since it is currently not loading.
