With a vision for a digitally inclusive Africa, Ogunsanya highlighted the pivotal role of cutting-edge technologies in bridging the digital divide, fostering financial inclusion, and making smart devices accessible to all.

The African telecommunications landscape stands at a critical juncture, with immense potential for transformation. Ogunsanya emphasized the transformative impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in predicting customer behavior and understanding their needs. He also underscored the promise of intelligent connectivity, a synergy between 5G, the Internet of Things, and Artificial Intelligence, which can pave the way for innovative digital services.

“The telecom industry is uniquely positioned to usher Africa into the digital era. By investing in digital infrastructure and forging collaborations, we can empower every African with the tools they need to participate in the global digital economy,” stated Dr. Ogunsanya.
