vertiv

Vertiv has announced significant enhancements to its three-phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS) offerings for channel distributors and resellers in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. This move comes in response to the increased demand for higher power and three-phase UPS systems in the market, driven by the growing digital requirements of businesses across various industries.

According to Omdia, a leading global technology research firm, Vertiv is already the top-ranked company in the global three-phase UPS market, with a 16% market share. With the latest enhancements, Vertiv’s highly-efficient and market-leading three-phase UPS systems, including the Vertiv™ Liebert® ITA2, ranging from 10 to 60kVA, are now available in the Vertiv Solution Designer tool and can be shipped from stock in the EMEA region.

EMEA’s demand for three-phase UPS systems is expected to grow substantially, particularly in sectors such as retail, healthcare, manufacturing, and others, outside of cloud, colocation, and telco markets. Omdia’s UPS Hardware Market Tracker and Analysis 2022 predicts that the three-phase UPS market in EMEA will experience a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.84%, reaching $2.07 billion by 2026, compared to $1.66 billion in 2021.

Karsten Winther, EMEA president at Vertiv, highlighted the increasing need for efficient power protection solutions to safeguard small and medium-sized sites against power outages, driven by the digitalization efforts of companies across various industries. The addition of three-phase UPS systems to Vertiv’s IT channel portfolio enables its partners to cater to a broader market by offering industry-leading solutions that empower businesses to leverage the latest technologies and accelerate their digital transformation journey.

Ronald Lagerberg, team leader Energy Solutions at Endenburg Elektrotechniek, an official Vertiv partner and system integrator for over 30 years, expressed enthusiasm for the expansion of Vertiv’s IT channel portfolio. He emphasized the advantages gained by Endenburg Elektrotechniek, including logistical, administrative, and financial benefits, as well as enhanced capabilities to serve end-users. Lagerberg looks forward to integrating these cutting-edge products into their offerings.

The Vertiv™ Liebert® ITA2, one of the key offerings, boasts true online double conversion technology, a unity power factor, and a compact rack/tower design. Compared to single-phase systems, three-phase UPS systems provide higher power capacity and achieve up to 99% efficiency in ECO mode. In addition to the product offerings, Vertiv provides expert support for product selection, setup, and performance optimization throughout the entire life-cycle of three-phase systems. The company’s three-phase UPS portfolio is further strengthened by customized on-site and contract services tailored for the channel market, leveraging Vertiv’s top-tier service network.

Vertiv offers a comprehensive range of specialized services designed to complement channel partners’ business models. These services ensure a seamless experience for all stakeholders involved, including on-site services, lifecycle services, and digital services such as remote diagnostics and incident management. Furthermore, partners can utilize Vertiv™ software solutions to enhance asset management capabilities and deliver exceptional experiences to end-users.

Beyond UPS systems, Vertiv’s broader critical infrastructure portfolio is designed to optimize efficiency, increase capacity, and potentially lower total cost of ownership (TCO), while seamlessly integrating with customers’ existing infrastructure. With manufacturing facilities located across Europe and worldwide, Vertiv can ensure timely availability of its solutions wherever and whenever they are needed.

Partners gain access to dedicated configuration tools and benefit from the support of technical and commercial teams within Vertiv’s multi-award-winning Partner Program. This program offers various incentives and rewards to promote partner engagement, development, and mutual success. With the inclusion of the Liebert ITA2 UPS in Vertiv’s IT channel portfolio, EMEA resellers in participating countries can earn more points through the Vertiv Incentive Programme (VIP) without the need for reporting. Bonus points are uploaded monthly into the Vertiv Partner Portal, and partners can easily redeem them by logging in.
