Get ready, Kenya! The highly anticipated Infinix Note 30 Series is about to hit the market, set to launch on 2nd June and to be in retail stores from June 3rd. This is not the company’s flagship device but it is the one they expect to sell the most units. Infinix Note devices have always been known for their big size, big batteries and quite good cameras.
The phones have always been popular because of their pricing too. The Note series phones have been quite affordable compared to some of the other phones they compete with. The price of the Note series in Kenya has not been confirmed but I expect it to be within the same range as the Camon 20 series.
The Infinix Note 30 has five models: The Infinix Note 30i, Note 30, Note 30 5G, Note 30 Play and the Note 30 Pro. I am not sure if Infinix has any plans of launching all models in the local market or just some of them.
The five models share some key specifications but they do have their differences that might make them appealing to different people. They will be the first phones from the company to be tuned by JBL Audio.
Infinix Note 30 Specifications
The base model Infinix Note 30 has a 6.78 inch IPS LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 processor. This is the same processor we saw on the Infinix Note 12 from last year and the same one you get on the recently launched Tecno Spark 20 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy A24.
The Note 30 has a 5000 mAh battery that unfortunately does not support the company’s 260W charging. We are only getting 45W charging on the base model which is a bit disappointing. The company already has this charging tech and I was expecting to see it on the Note devices this year.
For photos, the Note 30 has a triple camera system at the back made up of a 64MP main sensor, a 2MP sensor and an unspecified AI camera. A 16MP sensor is at the front for selfies.

Infinix Note 30i
This is the variant that feels like it should not exist. It is not as appealing as the other variants. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 processor, has a 5000 mAh battery supporting 33W charging, It does however have an AMOLED display and a 64MP main camera at the back.

Infinix Note 30 5G
The Note 30 5G gets some similar specs as the base model with one of the differences being in the processor. It does come with the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processor. It also has a 108MP camera at the back with the other specifications remaining unchanged.
Display: 6.78-inch (1080 x 2460 pixels)
Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 6080

Infinix Note 30 Pro
The Note 30 Pro is the most interesting of all variants. It does come with an AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. Its 5,000 mAh battery supports 68W fast charging (up from 45W). It does have the same 108 MP camera of the 5G model but the selfie camera has been upgraded to 32MP. The processor is the Helio G99 found on the base model Note 30 and this means that the Pro variant will not support 5G. Quite an odd move for a Pro model.
