The application window for the Digital Transformation (dx100) Awards has since closed.

Now in its 14th year, the Awards which are organised by dx (formerly CIO Africa) celebrate 100 organisations (and the people within them) that are using information technology in innovative ways to deliver business value.

Unlike the previous awards that celebrated CIOs only, this year’s will also recognise the role of other C-suite leaders in digital transformation.

dx Chairman Harry Hare said “the Digital Transformation (dx100) Symposium & Awards is the premier event for the tech community in Africa; the one place where all the right people will be gathered. We’re gathering the most innovative minds from across all industries. It is an audience of leading pan-African organisations at the C-Suite and Director level for three days who are open to sharing, collaborating, innovating, ideating and most importantly connecting.”

The Digital Transformation (dx100) Symposium & Awards is regarded as the Oscars of the tech industry. It is the culmination of the year’s successes and crowning achievements, gathering the most innovative minds from across all industries, bringing together an audience of leading pan-African organisations at the C-Suite and Director level in one place for three days who are open to sharing, collaborating, innovating, ideating and most importantly connecting.

Some of the anticipated speakers include tech luminaries such as Jack Ngare, Technical Director Office of the CTO, Google, Ali Hussein, Chairman of the Association of Fintechs in Kenya, (AFIK) and previous dx100, then CIO100, 2016 winner, George Njuguna.

dx Group CEO Kelly Bentley said, “The run-up to this year’s Digital Transformation (dx100) Symposium & Awards has been exciting. Opening up the awards to recognise a broader group of digital influencers driving transformation across the continent has had a great response. We are looking forward to celebrating each of the winners in what is shaping up to be our best awards event yet!”

While the Symposium will draw first-hand insights from the tech industry’s biggest names, it will illuminate all the digital transformation opportunities that lie ahead. Businesses and consumers are ready to adopt new technology and reimagine the role of technology. This unique meeting of cross-industry, cross-discipline tech leaders deep-diving into the new potential of technology will be expressed in the form of debates, fireside chats, a bespoke agenda. Influencer panels right down to 18-holes of golf.
