The Redmi Note 11 Pro is one of the latest smartphones from Xiaomi to launch in Kenya. You can get the phone from Jumia from Ksh 34,500. The phone was launched in Kenya a few months back and should be on your list if you are looking for a phone within this range.
I have the Redmi Note 11 Pro in for review and before I get to that, I thought I should highlight some of the top 5 things I love and you should consider if you are thinking of getting this phone.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro is one of the handful of devices in the Redmi Note 11 series, the others are the Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11S and the Redmi Note 11 Pro + 5G. I reviewed the Redmi Note 11S that you can read more about here.
Back to the Redmi Note 11 Pro, here are the five things I love so far.
Build Quality
The Redmi Note 11 Pro has an amazing build quality. The phone has a flat frame with Gorilla Glass 5 panel at the front and a flat tempered glass at the back. The glass at the back has a matte finish which gives it an appealing look and comfortable feel to touch. This gives it a premium touch that you will appreciate when you get to interact with the phone.
The build quality is what you expect from a phone within its price range and is exactly what you get. The phone feels comfortable to hold and carry around.
Battery and Charging
We use our phones a lot and with that, we always want a bigger battery that lasts long. The Redmi Note 11 Pro has a massive 5000 mAh battery that should be good enough for most people. This battery can easily last you an entire day even with heavy usage.
If you happen to run low on battery, the phone supports 67W fast charging that can fully charge it in about 48 minutes. You can get from 0 to 45% in just 15 minutes. This is not as fast as I have on the Xiaomi 11T pro, that I have been using for close to a year, but it is still good enough.
Display
The Redmi Note 11 Pro has a 6.67 inch AMOLED from Samsung. This display has a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. This is perfect for media consumption as the display is big enough and the resolution is decent for that. The color accuracy of this display is also really good.
The display also has a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling. It also gets bright enough for use outdoors without any major issues.
Cameras
The Redmi Note 11 Pro has a total of 5 cameras, 4 at the back and 1 for selfie. At the back there is a high-res 108MP primary sensor from Samsung, an 8MP ultrawide, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth camera. The shots you get with the main camera are reasonably good. Detailed and with just the right amount of saturation. There is no oversaturation here as we see with some other manufacturers.
For selfies, there is a 16MP sensor that also takes good shots.
Stereo Speakers
I always prefer having stereo speakers on my phones as they provide a much better audio experience. The Redmi Note 11 Pro has these and the audio quality has been so good. One speaker is located at the bottom part of the phone while the other one is at the top section. They work well in providing a balanced and rich sound when listening or watching media in portrait or landscape orientation.
