OPPO is set to launch the Reno 8 in Kenya next month. This will be the successor to the OPPO Reno 7 that was launched in Kenya earlier this year. You can get the Reno 7 in Kenya for Ksh 40,000.
The Reno 8 was launched to a global audience back in May and it’s finally making its way to Kenya. The Reno 8 series has 6 phones in total but we might only be getting one variant in Kenya as has always been the case with previous OPPO Reno devices.
The retail price is yet to be revealed but I expect it to be in the Ksh 40,000 to 45,000 range as has always been the case with other phones in the series.
OPPO Reno 8 Specifications
The OPPO Reno 8 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 processor that is paired with 8/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage.
This phone does have a 6.43 inch AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. I would have hoped for 120Hz refresh rate but we will not be getting that on this variant for now.
For the cameras, the Reno 8 has a quad setup at the back made up of a 50 MP main sensor, 8 MP ultrawide sensor, 2 MP macro lens and a 2 MP depth sensor. It does have a single 32 MP selfie camera.
A 4500 mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging provides all the power.
