The Education CS, George Magoha, is set to officially release the 2021 KCSE exam results later today. This follows the KCPE 2021/2022 Form one selection status confirmation a few weeks ago.
The 2021 KCSE results will be announced at the Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) offices with top education officials in attendance.
In total, 831,015 candidates sat for the exam in over 10,400 examination centres across the country. This is an improvement compared to the 752,981 candidates who sat for the KCSE exams in 2020. This represents a 9.39% increase in candidates across the country.
How to check your KCSE 2021 results
To check your results, you can do so via text or online. Via text:
- Open the messages app on your phone.
- Key in your KCSE index number
- Send to 20076
The cost for each SMS is Ksh 25.

With the results announced, it paves way for admission to universities, colleges and technical institutions. Those selected to join universities are expected to do so as from June this year. With those joining colleges are expected to report in September.
Candidates had until April to choose the courses they were interested in through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement portal.
