The OPPO A96 is Set to Be Launched in Kenya Soon

OPPO A96 in Kenya

OPPO is planning to expand its smartphone portfolio in Kenya with the launch of the OPPO A96. This will be the successor to the OPPO A95 and is set to be unveiled in the country very soon. The company has not revealed the exact date but we will not have to wait that long to have those details. The price is also yet to be revealed but it should be around Ksh 30,000 or a bit more.

The OPPO A96 will be the company’s next mid-range smartphone and will be powered by the Snapdragon 695 processor that will be paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage space. It will run on Android 11 with ColorOS 12 out of the box.

The phone will have stereo speakers which is always a plus. It will also have Dirac HD audio technology for an overall better experience.

The OPPO A96 has a 6.43 inch AMOLED display with 60Hz refresh rate. The refresh rate is a bit low in my opinion and I would have hoped for at least 90Hz for a 2022 phone that will be available in stores for more than Ksh 25,000.

For the cameras, the A96 has a dual setup at the back made up of a 48MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. A 16MP front-facing camera sits at the front for all your selfie needs.

The phone will have a massive 5,000 mAh battery with 33W SUPERVOOC flash charging support.
