Earlier today, Samsung officially unveiled its new online brand shop in partnership with BrandCart. Through this store, customers will be able to buy a wide range of Samsung products and have then delivered to them anywhere in Kenya.

This is not the first online brand store we are seeing. Huawei has Amaya, LG has the LG Brand Shop, Infinix and Tecno have XPark and the list goes on. Most companies have realized that they can have their own online portals to reach customers directly.

You can access the Samsung online store through https://samsung.brandcart.co.ke/.

Speaking on this, Sam Odhiambo, Samsung Electronics East Africa Head of Consumer Electronics Division said, “Internet accessibility has created an increase in online shopping in Kenya, therefore we want to ensure that all Samsung electronics are available to customers at the convenience of their fingertips.”

As this is a new store, below are five things you may need to know about the Samsung online store in Kenya.

Free Delivery Countrywide

Samsung and BrandCart are promising free delivery on all items purchased through the online store. Free delivery is available on all products in all regions across Kenya. This is a unique proposition that differentiates the platform from others available locally.

With free countrywide delivery, I do not see any reason to buy Samsung products from another retailer at this point.

Same Day Delivery

Any product that you order through the platform before noon will be delivered to you within the same day. Ideally, this is what you should expect within Nairobi and most parts of the country. This is another plus for this platform as most other online retailers including Jumia cannot promise same-day delivery even in Nairobi let alone countrywide. Deliveries on orders placed past noon will be fulfilled within 24 hours.

Warranty on All Products

Every product sold through the platform has a warranty. The QLED and UHD TVs come with a 24-month warranty while all other products come with a 12-month warranty. This should give you the peace of mind that any product you buy will serve you well and if anything happens, you can have it replaced or fixed.

Partnership With BrandCart

The online has been launched in partnership with BrandCart. I have never heard of BrandCart until today but they say they have been around for a number of years. In this partnership, BrandCart will be handling order fulfilments and they ensure you get the products you order. They do have their own logistics team to ensure you get your items anywhere you are in Kenya.

Direct Competitor to Jumia

The Samsung online shop is a direct competitor to Jumia, at least regarding Samsung products. At this point, I do not see any reason to buy anything Samsung related from Jumia as they cannot guarantee same say delivery on all items. They also charge for delivery which is free when using this new platform.
