The OPPO A16k and OPPO A55 Smartphones Are Now Available in Kenya

OPPO has today announced the availability of two new smartphones in the Kenyan market. The two are the OPPO A16k and the OPPO A55. They come to the market lee than two weeks after the company announced yet another smartphone, the OPPO A95.

The two new phones are cheaper than the A95 and target different customers.

The OPPO A16k is available with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage and will retail for Ksh 19,999 on Jumia and other smartphone retailers. The phone is available in two colour options of Black and Blue.

OPPO A16k Specifications

The OPPO A16k comes with a 6.52-inch HD+ LCD display that has 2.4D glass protection. This phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 processor and comes with ColorOS 11 that is based on Android 11.

The OPPO A16k has a 13MP camera at the back and a 5MP front facing one. With the back camera, you get features such as Night Filters, Backlit HDR, Stylish Filter, and Dazzle Color Mode.

Still at the back is where you get the 4,230 mAh battery that supports Superpower Saving Mode and Super Night-time Standby.

The OPPO A55 on the other hand has a 6.5-inch LCD display. It is powered by the same MediaTek Helio G35 processor with up to 4GB of RAM AND 128 GB of expandable storage space.

It does have a triple-lens camera setup at the back made up of a 50MP primary lens, 2MP bokeh lens and a 2MP macro shooter. For brighter photos in low-light conditions, the back camera comes with pixel-binning technology.

Providing all the power is a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.

The OPPO A55 is also available on Jumia where you can get it for Ksh 26,000.
