The Tecno Spark 7p was launched in Kenya recently and is currently available in stores for Ksh 15,000. This is the latest in the Spark series which now stands as Tecno’s most affordable smartphone series.
The Tecno Spark 7p takes over from the Spark 5 series as we did not get to hear much about the Spark 6 series in Kenya. I used the Tecno Spark 5 Pro last year and I loved it so much even though it was not perfect. You can read my thoughts on it here.
With the Tecno Spark 7p, we are expecting some key upgrades and this is what the company is promising.
Speaking during the launch, Stephen Ha, General Manager of TECNO Mobile, said, “TECNO is always baring the young generations’ demands in mind to provide them with the best of contemporary technologies in artistic designs. With popularity in over 60 markets, TECNO showcases its mastery of serving the youth-generation consumers who are “young at heart”, and inspires them to never stop pursuing excellence. TECNO SPARK 7 series are the ones that reflect our promise to the Gen-Z the most with the most advanced technologies like the BIGGER and BETTER display to bring them immersive cinema experience at the fingertips, and the ungraded 16MP AI Triple Camera for them to embrace a clearer world.”
The Tecno Spark 7p has a 6.8-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G70 processor that has been paired with 4GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of internal storage space. This is not a bad combination and will be good for most people.
The Spark 7p comes with a triple camera setup at the back made up of a 16MP main sensor and an 8MP front facing camera.
