Nokia 2.2 is the Latest HMD Global Smartphone to Receive Android 11

Last week HMD Global started updating its old Nokia 8.1 and 2.3 to Android 11 after rolling out the same to Nokia 3.2 in March. This week the update streak continued with Nokia 4.2, and today, it’s coming to the Nokia 2.2.

Android 11 has begun rolling out to the Nokia 2.2, starting with just 24 countries majorly located in Europe and Asia. The blessed markets include;

  • Cambodia
  • Czech Republic (T-Mobile)
  • Denmark
  • Estonia
  • Finland
  • Greece (Cosmote)
  • Hungary (Magyar)
  • Iceland
  • Indonesia
  • Laos
  • Latvia
  • Lithuania
  • Macedonia (Monet, T-Mobile)
  • Malaysia
  • Montenegro (Crnogorski Telekom)
  • Myanmar
  • Norway
  • Philippines
  • Poland (T-Mobile/Heyah)
  • Romania (Telekom Romania)
  • Slovakia (Slovak Telekom)
  • Sweden
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam

Nokia 2.2 users located in other areas will have to wait for the update a bit longer. For Nokia 4.2 users, however, the update is rolling out worldwide. Nokia 2.2’s Android 11 update weighs in at around 1.2GB.
