Apple is preparing to launch new high-end iPads as early as April, according to a Bloomberg report. The tech company is said to be launching new iterations of the iPad Pro line. Some suggested notable features to the new iPad Pro line include an upgrade to the cameras and a faster processor.
The latter processor will reportedly be more powerful, just like Apple’s first in-house desktop processor, the M1 chip, running the latest MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and Mac Mini.
The company could also include a new and brighter Mini-LED screen with higher contrast ratios on the higher model of the new iPad Pro models.
On the design front, there’s nothing new to expect, according to the report. They will look similar to the company’s current 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pros that launched in 2020 starting at $799.
The iPad was a hit in 2020, contributing $8.4 billion to its income report in the last three months of the year. The company’s tablets capitalized on the changing environment on the backdrop of the pandemic when people needed to work and even study at home.
Apple is yet to announce an official event anytime soon, so the report says its plans could change.
