CES 2021 is around the corner, but there are already lots of new gadgets being released by tech companies before that. Ahead of its first virtual event, organizers have announced the 2021 list of CES Innovation Awards Honorees recognized for their outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products.
Eight smartphones have been awarded the mantle from different manufacturers, including Samsung, LG, OnePlus, TCL, and ASUS.
The phones include;
- Asus ROG Phone 3
- LG Wing
- LG Velvet 5G
- TCL 10 5G UW
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G
- Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G/ Note20 Ultra 5G
- Samsung Galaxy A51 5G
- OnePlus 8 Pro
Samsung Galaxy A51 5G was honored for 5G support, an immersive display, a multi-lens camera system, a long-lasting, Fast Charging Battery, and a sleek design. Galaxy Note 20 5G and Ultra were crowned for being productivity powerhouses. Samsung’s foldable, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, won the hearts of judges for its first-of-its-kind foldable glass, the so-called Ultra-Thin Glass(UTG).
LG’s Wing device appeared on the list cause of its first-of-its-kind form factor and the Velvet 5G on the design front.
ASUS ROG Phone 3 was applauded for offering exceptional gaming experiences thanks to its relentless focus on improving mobile gaming. ASUS ROG Phone 3 boasts a 6.59-inch HDR10+ AMOLED panel with 1B colors, 144Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor, up to 16GB RAM, and 512GB ROM; there are ultrasonic side buttons for intuitive game controls, etc. The device can also be plugged in ASUS’s dedicated ROG Kunai 3 Gamepad, another CES 2021 honoree, that takes the whole experience a notch higher.
Despite the nasty name, TCL’s 10 5G UW was honored for the dedicated display engine and OnePlus’ 8 Pro as the “Leading mobile smartphone.”
