2021 is here, and every smartphone company will be fighting for your money to give you their latest hardware offerings. As has always been, Samsung usually opens the floor with the launch of its Galaxy S flagship series later in February, but this year things will take a different approach.

Samsung has officially announced it will have a Galaxy Unpacked event on January 14th, where the company is anticipated(by many) to launch its new Galaxy S21 series.

Multiple reports had previously suggested Samsung will launch the 2021 Galaxy S series flagship devices earlier than usual. According to a report from Reuters, the main reason behind the early launch is to capture Huawei’s market share.

Last month, it was rumored that the company would announce the trio on January 14th, then open pre-orders the following day.

The event will kick off at 6:00 PM, Kenyan time.

Rumors have suggested Samsung will launch three new Galaxy S21 phones; Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra. The Ultra will be the most powerful among the three and will cost higher than the other two.

Samsung’s Galaxy S21 series will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 processor, announced in December, or the company’s in-house 5nm Exynos processor, depending on your location.

The S21 Ultra will include support for Samsung Galaxy Note’s most beloved Stylus Pen, S Pen. However, you’ll reportedly have to buy it separately.
