Telegram has rolled out yet another wide range of new features on mobile and desktop apps. The latest additions to the platform’s ever-growing feature repository are multiple pinned messages now available even in one-on-one chats, improved Live Locations, playlists, and channel post statistics for admins. Plus a little bit more for Android users.
Multiple Pinned Messages
The newest update is extending the current pinned messages feature allowing users to pin multiple posts in any chat. Users will access different pinned messages by tapping on the top bar.
You’ll notice the top bar has been given a fresh look to indicate when it contains more than one pinned message. For the first time, Telegram will allow users to pin messages on top of individual chats as well.
Improved Live Locations
Telegram’s live location feature lets users share the current location. If you’re meeting a person, the live location feature can help both of you find each other easily.
Telegram is improving the feature further with a live location map that’ll show you which direction the other person is facing. On top of that, you can choose to receive alerts when the other person is close.
Playlists
Telegram’s new playlist feature groups multiple songs send at the same time into one playlist and will be shown in one chat bubble. Playing a single song will queue the others in the app’s built-in media player for easier control.
Channel Post Stats
After the addition of granular Channel statistics, Telegram admins can also see how each post is performing.
Channel post statistics include the number of shares (both public and private), the total number of views within a certain period, and an interaction trend chart. The stats also have the list of public channels where the post was shared.
More Features
Telegram’s Android app keeps getting more with each new update. The latest isn’t an exception. Telegram Android users will see new animations when sending messages and switching songs in the built-in music player. They can also edit a received photo and send it back right away inside Telegram. You’ll also get more animated emojis.
