Xiaomi’s Poco X3 NFC Official with 120Hz Display and 5,160mAh Battery

Xiaomi’s POCO brand garnered enough reputation with one device under its name to become a brand of its own and has since launched a couple of phones. The latest is the Poco X3 NFC, a smartphone with modest specs and competitive pricing.

From the name itself, the Poco X3 supports wireless payment methods. What’s exciting about this device, however, is the price to performance ratio.

Measuring in at 6.67-inches, the display is a 1080p LCD panel. The 120Hz display refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate makes up for a smooth scrolling experience. Despite being an LCD screen, Poco X3 is HDR10 certified.

Performance should be relatively better as well, thanks to Poco for choosing Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 732G processor. For reference, Poco X3 NFC is the first phone to launch with Snapdragon 732G which offers slightly better performance relative to Snapdragon 730G.

Starting at $270, Poco X3 NFC also has 6GB of memory and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage.

At the rear, the phone includes several camera lenses. The primary sensor is Sony’s 64-megapixel sensor. You also get a 13-megapixel ultrawide and two 2-megapixel sensors for macro and depth. For selfie lovers, Poco X3 has included a 20-megapixel sensor.

Moving to the battery, here’s where you might find some troubles. Poco X3 has a massive 5,160mAh battery with 33W fast charging support — a nice addition for better screen time. But with the big battery, the phone is relatively chunky with 215g (lighter phones weigh under 200g). But these are the downsides of the massive battery and big display.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand is only asking ~$270 for 6/64GB and $320 for the 6/128GB model. It’s unlikely that Xiaomi Kenya will launch the phone in Kenya as we have seen with other Poco devices.
