Nokia 2.1

HMD Global has always kept its promise of supporting all Nokia smartphones with at least two major software updates. This has been the case even for its entry level devices that some other manufacturers tend to ignore.

The latest device to get a major update is the Nokia 2.1 that is being updated with Android 10 (Go Edition). This is one of the affordable smartphones the company has on the market and was launched back in 2018 so seeing it getting support is refreshing.

The update is rolling out in stages as usual with the first wave rolling out to users in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.

In this first wave, the update will roll out to 10% of the devices as from today, 50% by September 5 and the rest by September7.

After the initial roll out in the mentioned countries, the update should start rolling out to other regions across the globe.

Android 10 (Go Edition) comes with all the new features we have come to love including system wide dark more, better gesture navigation among other. It is also smaller in size and comes pre-installed with a handful of Go edition applications that take up less space and use less data.
