Samsung’s mid-range smartphone category is continuously ballooning and its hard to keep up. With the M- and A-series, the company has something new to unveil after a short period of time.
The latest device from the company is the Samsung Galaxy M51. It’s large 7,000mAh battery can’t be ignored at all costs. The Samsung Galaxy M51 also has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ display, 64MP primary camera, 6GB RAM and a 32MP selfie snapper.
In terms of design, the Samsung Galaxy M51 is identical to most devices in the M series lineage, like the M31s. Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor powers the phone and is paired with 6GB of memory. For media storage, there is 128GB of internal storage, expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot to 512GB.
The Galaxy M51 has One-UI(v 2.0) based on Android 10.
On the camera department, the phone has four lenses on the back and a single 32MP snapper for selfies. The phone’s rear camera system includes a 64MP (f/1.8) primary, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle (123-degrees field of view), a 5MP macro lens and a 5MP depth sensor.
The massive 7,000mAh battery is juiced by 25W fast charging brick via USB C. Samsung Galaxy M51’s massive battery capacity signals improved battery life in comparison to its predecessor but weight might be a cause for concern.
The phone’s retail price starts at around Ksh 47,000. It comes in two color; black and white.
