A Few months after introducing dark mode on desktop, Facebook is also preparing to bring the same on its mobile apps across Android and iOS. The company has started testing it with “a small percentage of users globally.”

For those who have received the feature, its available via Facebook’s app settings. It’s unclear when it will rollout out to everyone as of now. Facebook normally takes their time before rolling out features they test with a small group of people.
The Facebook mobile app has been the laggard when it comes to receiving the much-anticipated dark mode feature. Reports about incoming dark mode for the Facebook app were out as early as August 2019, but we haven’t seen any solid developments in that direction so far… until now.
So far, the company has updated most of its suite of apps from Messenger, to Facebook Lite, WhatsApp, and Instagram. And don’t forget dark mode on its desktop version which rolled it out with a design overhaul.
