Google is doing immense work when it comes to its video calling products – Duo and Meet. Earlier this month, Duo received an Invite Functionality for Group Calls. The latest update coming to Google Duo adds the number of active participants in a group call to 32.

According to a tweet by Sanaz Ahari, Google’s senior director of product and design, Duo on web now supports up to 32 people. It’s been one of the most requested features for Duo, according to Ahari.

It makes sense to bump up the number of active users in a call as many people are still at home and most communications can only be done over the internet.

Google Duo started the year weak in the feature-front but the relentless updates Google has been making in the past months have seen the platform become stronger.

Like other video calling products, Google Duo has also experienced immense growth in the past few months as many countries around the world implemented stay home orders to help contain the virus.

In April, Ahari said over 10M new people are registering with Duo every week and calling has increased by ten folds in many countries.

Duo for mobile(Android and iOS) currently supports up to 12 participants but it’ll be advisable to use the web(if you can) now that it has more “room”.
