Oppo is seeding Android 10 update splashed on top with its proprietary ColorOS 7 UI to Oppo A5 and A9 2020. The update is currently rolling out via OTA and the first phase will onboard just a few users to test the waters and see if any issues arise. Despite seeding out in batches, keep in mind that this is the stable Android update.

To download the update head over to Settings > Software Updates and tap on the gear icon in in the upper right corner and click on “Trial Version.”

ColorOS 7 UI brings a ton of features to Oppo A5(2020) and Oppo A9(2020) that have not been available before. Some of the new features include improved visuals and animations, smart sidebar, new navigation gestures, dark mode, focus mode, and enhanced three-finger screenshot feature.

You’ll also be receiving a new set of audios for your ringtones, notification sounds, and alarm sounds. ColorOS 7 also redesigns the icons and polishes the previous ColorOS 6 wallpaper collection with three new minimalist abstract wallpapers. Privacy and security were at the heart of Android 10 and that is still upheld with the update.

This is just a tip of the iceberg of what the ColorOS 7 full changelog update for the A5 (2020) and A9 (2020). You can view these features on Oppo’s website. Oppo A5 and A9 2020 were launched in Kenya towards the end of 2019.
