If you thought the feature phone market is dead, you are wrong. This segment is still around even as we see affordable smartphones that try to lure feature phone buyers to jump over to smartphones. HMD Global, the company responsible for the latest Nokia phones, is one of the main players still making feature phones.
The latest additions to its portfolio are the Nokia 125 and the Nokia 150 feature phones. Both devices have 2.4-inch QVGA displays and polycarbonate back covers. HMD says they both have batteries that should last a long time, after all, these are feature phones and battery life is one of the things they are good at.
Both the Nokia 125 and Nokia 150 run on the Series 30+ platform, comes with dual SIM slots, 3.5 mm headphone jacks, FM radio and Bluetooth support. The Nokia 150 has a few extra features over its sibling including a built-in MP3 player, micro SD card slot that can support memory expansion by up to 32GB and a VGA camera with flash.
Both devices come with 1,020 mAh batteries that Nokia promises will last for 19.4 hours (talk time) and 23 days of standby.
The Nokia 125 will be available in black and white and should retail for about $24 (approximately Ksh 2,600) while the Nokia 150 will be available in red, cyan and black and will be available for $29 (approximately Ksh 3,000).
