Instagram Rolls Out DMs on the Web

Instagram DM

If you’ve been, for so long, yearning to be able to continue chatting with your Instagram buddies on your PC here’s some good news: Instagram has finally rolled out DMs on the Web, letting you get and send Instagram Direct messages on desktop.

The feature was rolled out by the Facebook-owned photo and video sharing platform towards the end of last week and is now available to everyone around the world.

DMs on Web has been under beta testing for a while now – since January – tipping on a future rollout but without a solid date. The feature comes handy with the current boom in computer usage over mobile devices, majorly due to the new work from home culture.

Instagram DMs on Web can also be accessed from the top right corner of the desktop site shown by a “messenger” like icon. You can still do everything you can do while on the mobile app like sending and receiving texts, emojis as well as photos.
