Secure chat messenger, Telegram, has released an update to the messaging application. One of the handiest features arriving today is Chat folders, which helps you put your high message volume account in order.
Chat Folders enables one to group their chats into various categories, so you don’t have to miss critical updates. Two presets include Unread, which houses all unopened chats and Personal which only includes unread messages from your personal contacts. However, you can still create custom folders the way you like.
Maneuvering within these group tabs has also been made easy – using a swipe gesture like that of Twitter curated lists.
Unlimited pins is another new feature coming on Telegram. It complements the chat folders feature, allowing you to pin unlimited chats in a specific folder.
Besides that, your curated Chat Folders will be seamlessly synced across other connected apps, including on Desktop. Telegram has also added another sidebar on Desktop, which houses created folders.
For channel admins, Telegram 6.0 has added more aggregated stats to help you track the growth and performance of your channel. Admins can view which source is generating more followers, follower stats based on the language of origin, interactions, and more.
Other changes that are coming though not that useful include Voice Recording Animations on Android – wavy animations shown below your finger while recording audio or video –, new animated emojis relating to Covid-19 and an animated dice which gives a random number when you send the dice emoji to a contact.
