HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, was the first company to unveil its Android 10 update roadmap even before Google shipped the first stable update to legible devices.
So far, so good, the company kept its word seeding out updates to all phones that were scheduled for an update before the end of 2019.
However, the rest of the roadmap has been tweaked a little due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. The company had initially planned to roll out Android 10 to the Nokia 2.2, 3.1 Plus, 3.2, and 4.2 in the middle of Q1.
Based on the current timeline, however, the Nokia 2.2 is the only phone scheduled to receive the update somewhere towards the end of the quarter. Other phones in the list (Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 2.3, 3.2, 4.2) plus Nokia 6.2, 7.2, 3.1 Plus, and 8 Sirocco will receive the update towards the end of the quarter.
Most affected devices include the Nokia 5.1 Plus and 1 Plus whose update has been pushed back from Q1 to Q2.
The remaining devices, including Nokia 2.1, 3.1, 5.1, and 1, which will be expecting their last major software update ever – unless otherwise, will be updated in Q2 as initially planned.
Here is the new timeline;
