Dell is expanding its Latitude branded business laptops with a new series. The 9000 series of Latitude business laptops are an addition to the company’s Latitude 3,000, 5,000 and 7,000 series. With the 9000 series, Dell promises much; “battery life of up to 30 hours, 5G-ready design, powerful audio features and intelligent solutions that increase productivity.”

The first laptop under the new series is the Dell Latitude 9510, which sets new standards for the whole series. Dell says the Latitude 9510 is the “world’s most intelligent 15-inch PC with built-in AI.” 15-inch is pretty typical, but Dell is offering more citing the marketing jargon behind the laptop.

The Dell Latitude 9510 has been marketed as the “world’s smallest, lightest ultra-premium business 15-inch PC” and the “longest running 15-inch PC.” This laptop weighs 3.2 pounds, which I bet is not the lightest out there. However, this makes the Latitude 9510 among the top choice for shoppers who want the “lightest” Dell Latitude laptop.

The Latitude 9510 also comes in a 14-inch sized display, if the 15-inch model seems too big for you. On top of that, there are also two configurations in terms of design; you can either choose a clamshell design or a 2-in-1 configuration if you fancy detachable devices (both featured in the image above).

This laptop comes with an 88W battery, which should last for about 30 hours, according to the company. The longer running hours are reportedly made possible due to the intelligent features stacked inside the machine. Charging the battery will also be a bit faster. ExpressCharge Boost will help you fill the battery by 35% from zero in just 20 minutes.

The laptop will ship with Dell’s proprietary software, dubbed Dell Optimizer. The software uses AI to learn your usage habits and optimizes the laptop to help you get the most of your time and the battery.

Dell Optimizer also helps you in other different ways like fine-tuning of audio depending on what you are doing, and even help you get back into your laptop as long as you’re within a given proximity to your laptop. This express sign in feature leverages proximity sensors placed at the top bezel of the laptop, which activates your Windows Hello-enabled webcam.

Furthermore, the new laptop runs on Intel’s top-end processors available. The highest configuration out of the box is a model powered by the 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processors. In addition to that, the company says the 10th-gen VPro options will follow soon.

Apart from the new chips, Dell Latitude 9510 supports 5G.

Pricing

The company says the Latitude 9510 will be available globally as of March 26th. Dell Latitude 9510 starts at US $1,799.00 (about cash, 180,000).
