It sounds unusual that Xiaomi is adding another variant to the Redmi Note series in addition to the regular Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro. But that is the case this time around.
Xiaomi’s Redmi NOTE 8 Pro, to be honest, did not resonate well with everyone. And that was because of the MediaTek Helio Chipset under the helm. NFC sensitive peeps also tabled their cries over lack of support in the Redmi Note 8.
Xiaomi wants to make up for the two issues with the new variant, however. You get Qualcomm Snapdragon 665, a 4000mAh battery with 18W fast charge support via USB-C and 4GB of RAM.
There is also 64GB of internal storage to play with and NFC support. The device comes with a 6.3-inch Dot Drop Display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top for protection.
The phone has a 48MP AI primary camera plus three other lenses, including an ultra wide-angle lens and a macro lens at the back. There are no details on the front camera, as per now, but it is just a single lens housed in a notch.
The Redmi Note 8T launch date is not yet pinned down, but the retail box leakage means we won’t be waiting any longer.
