Suggesting who to unfollow is a new thing and will probably be only on Instagram if it ever sees the light of the day. From the popular social media features leaker, Jane Wong, Instagram is working on a feature that will suggest user accounts to unfollow.
Instead of following tones of accounts that you never interact with anymore, Instagram wants to make it easy for you to get rid of them. The feature will suggest who you should likely consider unfollowing.
If all goes as planned, you should see your Instagram friends list categorized into two groups – “Least Interacted with” and “Most shown in the feed.” This segregation will be counted in 90 days and is meant to help users decide who to unfollow.
Unlike other Instagram functionality, “Close friends,” which is curated personally by a user, these groups will be auto-generated.
Like other tips that are usually spotted in early stages from the leaker, this feature is under early development. The company has not announced anything in that line, but if all goes well, we might be able to see it in the future.
The latest update on Instagram removed the “Following tab” popularly regarded as the stalking tab and dark mode.
