Since Android 10 is already here for few select devices, the most anticipated feature has been extensively implemented in every corner.
Apart from having a system-wide dark mode in Android 10, Google has also been working to bring the feature in apps on previous android devices as well. In the past couple of months, most apps have been updated with a dark feature which has been touted to save on power.
Google drive is the latest of Google’s Android apps to receive a dark theme. Unlike the first scenarios where dark mode seemed to have appeared on a few selected users with no manual setting, the app has fully rolled out a dark theme now.
In the latest update, Google Drive’s dark theme is still not enabled by default. So, you have to enable it by navigating to Settings then theme.
However, I noticed that Dark mode is enabled directly when my device is on power saving mode (runs Android Pie), but I’m not sure if that applies to other Android versions as well.
