That time of the year for a new set of iPhones is almost here. Apple has officially sent out media invites about a “special event” set to be hosted at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. At the event, Apple is expected to announce its new set of iPhones.

In the invite which is strictly invite-only, the Apple logo has been done in multiple colors that probably indicate colors of this year’s iPhone XR successor or maybe marks the return of Apple’s rainbow logo.

What to Expect

Like last year, Apple will still announce three iPhones at a go. The three devices will be successors of last year’s iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max. The new set of iPhones have been rumored to be going by the names; iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. Sounds weird? Not really. Other Apple products already use the “pro” moniker including the Macbook, iPad, and even the Mac, so why not on the iPhone?

Both the new iPhones are expected to bump up a little bit on the predecessors with rumors on additional cameras for the new combo. Under the hood, the new iPhones will run Apple’s powerful A13 chipset.

On the externals, leaked renders have tipped on a square camera bump for the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, while the front of the devices still retains a notch. The new iPhones will have sizes similar to their predecessors except for the successor of the iPhone XS that will reportedly have a bigger 6.1-inch display instead of 5.8-inches.

Other devices to be unveiled

Additionally, Apple is set to refresh its iPad and iPad Pro. The newer version of iPad Pro, according to Bloomberg, will feature better camera, more powerful chip while the entry-level iPad will adopt a larger display. Also, the company is expected to announce new versions of Apple Watch.
