MediaTek on Monday announced their new series of gaming SoCs with the first two in line being Helio G90 and G90T. Since Monday; no OEM has publicly revealed their interest in getting the new gaming SoCs yet –until now.
Xiaomi took to Twitter to confirm that they will soon launch a gaming smartphone powered by MediaTek’s G90 T SoC.
Although Xiaomi’s raises more questions than answers, rumor has it that the mystery device maybe the Xiaomi RedMi Note 8 Pro. And considering MediaTek’s Helio G90 T capabilities, Xiaomi’s gaming smartphone will feature either a single 64MP or Dual 24MP + 16MP sensors on the rear.
Other features will include Bluetooth 5.0 support, 10GB of RAM, and even 1080p display resolution. All of these features are the maximum rendering that MediaTek’s chipset supports.
Besides, MediaTek’s G90T SoC has a HyperEngine game technology that enables Dual-band Wi-Fi support, improved touch response, and enhanced resource management for seamless gaming experiences.
As a plus, Xiaomi may also opt for UFS 2.1 storage type which will enhance their gaming device read and write speeds.
