Rarely do we get to see OPPO smartphones in Kenya for less than Ksh 15,000. This is why the availability announcement of the OPPO A1K 2019 got my attention. The phone is available in Kenya exclusively through Jumia for Ksh 12,999, not a price we are used to seeing OPPO smartphones retailing at.
At this price, the OPPO A1K 2019 will be competing with devices such as the Infinix Hot 7 Pro, Tecno Spark 3 Pro and the Huawei Y5 2019. I have reviewed all these devices and they are pretty good for their prices and would be keen to see how this new OPPO performs. This is a competitive segment that has so many devices from multiple manufacturers.

As you can see from the specifications above, the A1K 2019 has pretty much the same specifications as most of the other phones it is competing with. It has no outstanding features but this is not something we expect within this price. At this price, the key thing to look out for is reliable performance as most other manufacturers tend to take short cuts when it comes to this. Will the AK1 live up to expectations?
