Last week, HMD Global officially unveiled the Nokia 4.2 in Kenya. The phone is available in retail stores in Kenya including Jumia for Ksh 15,000. This is one of the five smartphones HMD Global unveiled earlier this year at MWC 2019 and we finally have it in Kenya. It is available at a reasonable price if you ask me and competes with devices such as the Infinix Note 5, Samsung new Galaxy A devices, some OPPO and Huawei smartphones. HMD Global has not been marketing its devices heavily as some of the other manufacturers but I hope that changes soon.
‘’Our first ever Nokia 4.2 has a pleasingly premium look and feel, and is designed to offer the latest smartphone innovations at a truly accessible price. With this phone, our customers can do everything a flagship smartphone can do at a relatively affordable price,’’ said Mark Misumi, HMD Global’s Business Manager East Africa.

As I have mentioned above, the Nokia 4.2 is one of the 5 devices the company announced at MWC 2019. The other one was the Nokia 1 Plus which is already available in Kenya for Ksh 9,300. We should be seeing the other devices launch in the country this month and even the Nokia 9 PureView should be available in Kenya at some point.
