The Kenyan smartphone scene keeps getting bigger by the day and the latest smartphone to make its way to the country is the Xiaomi Redmi Go. This is Xiaomi’s first Android Go smartphone that we have known was going to launch in the country soon but we did not have an exact date.

Since the Xiaomi Redmi Go is and Android Go smartphone, it comes with a tweaked version of Android that should run smoothly on devices with low end hardware. Android Go smartphones tend to be affordable (below Ksh 10,000) and are perfect for a market such as Kenya and that is what the Redmi Go is.

The Xiaomi Redmi Go is currently available through Jumia for as low as Ksh 8,499. This is a reasonable price for its specifications and makes it the cheapest Xiaomi smartphone in Kenya. It is not the cheapest Android Go smartphone in Kenya as that crown is taken by the Safaricom Neon Kicka 4.
