The Nokia 1, the cheapest smartphone from HMD Global, was officially announced back in February. In Kenya, we got the phone towards the end of April and its recommended retail price was Ksh 9,500 at the time. A few months later, this price was slashed to Ksh 8,000 and now the price has been slashed further to Ksh 5,000. This price cut is on Jumia at the moment and is part of the company Black Friday sale that is going on through to the end of the month.
The Nokia 1 as I have mentioned is the cheapest smartphone by HMD Global and with the price cut, it is one of the cheapest Android Go smartphones in Kenya. At the moment, it is competing with the Itel A32F and the Safaricom Neon Kicka 4 that is available for Ksh 3,500. I am not sure if this price will remain here after Jumia Black Friday sale is over so you better grab it while it lasts.
The Nokia 1 IS perfect for those who want a decent smartphone that handles most tasks without any issues.
If you are interested in the Nokia 1, you can get it on Jumia here.
