Last week, we told you that Android Oreo update had started rolling out to some smartwatches. When we announced this, we were not sure which devices were to get the update and when. All we knew was the update was out there and would soon be available on some of the smartwatches on the market.
If you have an Android Wear smartwatch, Google has a list of devices that should be getting the update and the others that will be getting it at a later date. Below are the devices that are getting the update as of right now. The devices range from the LG Watch Sport to the Fossil Q Venture.
Besides the five smartwatches listed above, the update will be heading to other Android Wear smartwatches in the future. No exact date has been given but given how long the list is, my guess is that we will see the update get to the devices in segments. Some of these smartwatches include the LG Watch Style, Huawei Watch 2, the ZTE Quartz just to name a few.
Below is the complete list of devices that will be getting the update.
If your smartwatch is not listed here, it is safe to assume that you will not be getting the update. Unless things change, it may be time to get another smartwatch or just give up on this ecosystem completely.
