The Infinix Zero 5 Pro Unboxing

Infinix Zero 5 Pro Unboxing

The latest smartphone from Infinix has officially been launched. This is the Infinix Zero 5 Pro that was launched in Dubai last night and I am lucky to have the review unit already. I have had the phone for a couple of days and in this post I will be pointing out what you should expect in the box when you buy this phone and my first thoughts about it.

Besides the Infinix Zero 5 Pro, the company also unveiled the Infinix Zero 5 with toned down specs. These two devices replace the Infinix Zero 4 and Zero 4 Plus from late 2016. Given that these new phones have the ‘Zero’ branding, you know that they are camera-centric and target those who want superior camera performance from their devices.

Just a point to note, the Infinix Zero 5 Pro is the company’s flagship smartphones and its most expensive one.

What Do You Get in The Box

Inside the box, you get the usual items.

Infinix Zero 5 Pro First impressions

Taking out the phone for the first time, you will notice how big it is. It is not too big compared to the Zero 4 Plus though. It has a 5.98-inch display which is not the smallest one out there. Given that it does not have the 18:9 aspect ratio we have seen on other smartphones, you will need to use both your hands when operating it.

If you are interested in the video unboxing, you can find that below.

The back cover is made of metal that feels premium compared to the plastic cover we saw on the Infinix Note 4 earlier this year. Even though it is slippery, I really like it, I got used to it in a matter of hours. If it is too slippery for you, you can use the free back cover provided by Infinix. Infinix has added gold accents around the phone that give it a premium touch.

Still at the back, this is where you will find the fingerprint sensor and the two cameras of the phone. Yes, you read that right, the Infinix Zero 5 Pro has a dual camera system. One camera has a 12MP wide angle sensor while the other is a 13MP telephoto one.

Even with its big size, the power and volume buttons on the Infinix Zero 5 Pro are easy to reach. They are not as high as we are used on other smartphones and this is a good thing. Even if you have small hands, you will have no trouble reaching these buttons when using the phone. The power button is textured and this means that you will be able to identify it easily when you are not looking at the phone and especially when using the phone in the dark.

Above the volume keys you get the SIM card slot that can take to Micro SIM card. The MicroSD slot is on the left of the phone. As you probably have noticed, you get a dedicated MicroSD slot not like in most other recent smartphones where you get a hybrid tray that forces you to choose between having two SIM cards and no MicroSD card or one SIM card and one MicroSD card.

Below is a look at the other specification you get with the phone.
