Netflix has just rolled out its latest update targeting iOS users. The updated app now supports HDR streaming as long as you have a compatible device. Note that this is for ‘compatible devices’ and not all iOS devices out there are in that category.

This update comes a couple of days after Apple rolled out iOS 11 to the public. As expected, the update supports iOS 11 and the few of the devices that can support HDR streaming including the new iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the iPad Pro.

To stream HDR content on your Netflix for iOS app, you will need to have a premium subscription. This is a genius way to get people to upgrade and get the premium subscription if they want to enjoy HDR content.

Besides getting Netflix HDR content on your iPhone or iPad, you can also enjoy it on the new Apple TV 4K which supports UHD resolution streaming.
