The Final build of Android Oreo was released a couple of week ago and is currently rolling out to supported Pixel and Nexus devices. Other manufacturers are working to bring this update to their devices and we should expect to see it roll out before the end of the year.

Nokia and Sony have already listed the devices that will be getting this update and now Motorola has come out with its own list. The list includes about a dozen devices from its 2016 line-up including the Moto z and all its variants. Most of these devices come with stock Android or something close to that and we pretty much knew they were going to get that update.

Motorola has announced this through its blog listing the devices that will get all the new features introduced with Android Oreo. These include better notifications, better battery life, split-screen functionality among others. Below is a list of devices that will be getting the update.

From the list above, you can see that Motorola is going to update most of its devices that came out within the last year. If you own an older device, you are out of luck, probably it is time to upgrade to a new device. I do have the Moto z and I will be updating it when it is available on my end and give you my thought on the update.
