You Can Now Buy the New Infinix Smart Smartphone in Kenya For Ksh 7,999

A few days ago, we told you that Infinix was planning to introduce a new smartphone a new affordable series in Kenya, the Infinix Smart Series. Well, the device is now officially available in the country and you can get it through Jumia for Ksh 7,999.

The Infinix Smart (X5010) is exclusively available through Jumia at the moment but we may see it being sold through offline retailers later on. The Ksh 7,999 is very reasonable for a market such as Kenya and for the target consumers (the youth).  This new series is the 5th for Infinix which already has the Hot series which was the affordable line up before the Smart, the Note series which is the company’s phablet line, the S series which is its selfie centric series and the Zero series which is its camera centric line up.

Targeting the Ksh 8,000 market will help the company expand its brand to most people who are about to get their first smartphone or those who just got their first job and are not willing to spend so much money on a phone. One of the smartphones that helped put Infinix on the map was the Infinix Hot (together with the Hot Note). The Infinix Hot used to retail within the same price range and given that back then we rarely saw any reliable devices within this range, it got the attention of most consumers who wanted a good phone at a decent price.

I will be interested in seeing how the Infinix Smart performs in Kenya.

Below are some of the key specifications of the Infinix Smart.
