You Can Now Interact with Cortana on Your Android Lock Screen

Cortana is one of the few useful voice-based assistants available to Android users. With that said, Microsoft wants to ensure Cortana stays relevant and useful.

Earlier this month, Microsoft released an update that made it possible to get Cortana on the lock screen on Android smartphones. This was a neat feature that allowed users to swipe and see what their day was looking like directly from the lock screen.

This is not the only thing Microsoft will be adding to Cortana, the company says users can now interact with cortana from the lock screen. Microsoft says this is one of the most requested features among those using Cortana.

With these changes, users will be able to set reminders, get answers to their questions and do a lot more without unlocking their devices. This will make Cortana much more useful to Android users since the need to unlock the devices before using the app is eliminated.

Microsoft also says that the updated app comes with new features that will make it easier for users to take advantage of the changes.

One of the the new features has to do with lists. The update makes it possible for users to access, add or edit items in your lists from the lock screen.

This update is just rolling out to users in markets where Cortana is available.
