Nokia unveiled its first true Android smartphone, the Nokia 6, in January at CES 2017. A month later, the company released two other smartphones, the Nokia 3 and the Nokia 5.

The Nokia 3,5 and 6 are mid-range devices from the company but are not the only ones the company plans to release this year. The three smartphones released by Nokia are reasonably priced and are the devices the company is using to get people interested in the brand again.

With the three smartphones out of the way, Nokia is believed to be focusing its efforts on two more smartphones. The official names of these two phones has not been confirmed but they will probably be the Nokia 7 and Nokia 8. It is not clear if these will be premium devices or upper mid-range ones, either way, they will be superior in terms of specifications when compared to the phones the company has already launched.

Rumours are pointing out that both the Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 will come with the Snapdragon 660 processor. This processor is yet to be released and these will probably be the first smartphones to come with it. The Nokia 7 will come with a unknown screen size with a 1080p resolution while the Nokia 8 will have a bigger screen with QHD resolution.

Both the Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 will have very thin bezels and a new metal unibody design. We are not sure exactly what this will entail but we are happy to see Nokia smartphones with metallic frames. Other new features to expect on the Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 include fast charging, fingerprint sensors and bigger camera sensors. We still don’t know if the cameras used on these devices will have Carl Zeiss technology or not. We already know that there might be new Nokia smartphones with Zeiss optics but are still not sure which ones there are.

As for when the phones will be launched, we expect to see them in May or June.
