Sony Unveils the Xperia XZ Premium Smartphone With An Advanced Camera

Sony Xperia XZ Premium 1

Good news Sony fans, the company is back again with a new Smartphone, the Xperia XZ Premium. The phone was unveiled at MWC 2017 and is a premium device from the company that has seen its market share dwindle the last couple of years.

Even though it has had a tough run so far, Sony is still a serious player in the smartphone market. The company will be launching a number of devices this year and the Xperia XZ Premium is just one of them.

The Xperia XZ Premium is all about the camera with a 19MP unit at the back and a 13MP front facing one. This back camera can capture videos  at 960 frames-per-second and this results in a super-slow-motion video playback. This may not be a must have feature but it is something users will appreciate.

The camera also has a predictive capture feature that will start buffering images before you press record. This allows for responsive video recording. I am not sure how perfect this is but it is something we will know about when the phone is released to the public.

Some of the specifications of the Xperia XZ Premium include a 5.5 inch 4K HDR display. The company says this phone uses the same HDR technology found on Sony Bravia televisions.

Powering the Xperia XZ Premium is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage space.
