Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 has kicked off and Huawei was among the first companies to unveil its devices at the event. The company unveiled the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus at the event as part of its 2017 flagship smartphone line up. These two smartphones take over from the Huawei P9 that was launched last years and was the first phone from the company to feature a dual camera setup.
The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus pack some impressive specifications as you would expect from a flagship smartphone but are not expensive as devices from Samsung and Apple. Huawei has always kept its devices slightly affordable compared to competitors and this has helped the company attract customers who want something good but affordable.

Impressive Specifications
Starting with the Huawei P10, it has a 5.1-inch display with a Full HD (1080p) resolution while the Huawei P10 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch display with a 2K resolution. As you may have probably already noticed, the P10 comes with a physical home button and that is where the fingerprint scanner is embedded. We are used to seeing fingerprint scanners on the back of Huawei phones but the P10 changes things a bit.
Both these phones have what Huawei calls Ultra Memory and this helps defragment storage and compress files based on their usage.
Providing all the juice is a 3,200mAh battery for the P10 and a 3,750mAh for the P10 Plus. With the Huawei P10, the company says users should expect `faster data speeds and reduced “weak signal” problems since the phone has 4 antennas that support 4.5G functionality. In addition to this, the P10 has a dual-antenna for Wi-Fi connectivity to ensure better coverage for users.
The phone also uses a dual-antenna for its Wi-Fi system, which the company said provides better coverage for users.
Leica is Here to Stay
With the Huawei P9, the company collaborated with Leica to give users one of the best camera experience on mobile. The company is back again with Leica on the P10 to ensure users get an even better camera performance on their smartphone. The camera at the back of the P10 has a 12MP + 20MP combination, similar to the one on the company’s flagship phablet, the Mate 9.
The 8MP front facing camera is also made in partnership with Leica and the company says this allows an impressive bokeh effect.
On the Huawei P10 Plus, there is the same 12MP + 20MP camera combination but here you get the Leica Summilux lens. The front facing camera is an 8MP one with Optical image stabilization.
The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus will be available very soon in different colour options blue, green, silver, and graphite black.
