OnePlus has been quite active the last couple of months. The company released a refreshed device towards the end of 2016, the OnePlus 3T, and later on updated this device and the OnePlus 3 with OxygenOS 4.0.0 that is based on Android 7.0 Nougat. This happened back in December 2016 and the company is back again with another update for 2017.
OnePlus is about to release OxygenOS 4.0.2 for both the OnePlus 3 and 3T. This is just a minor update that is meant to fix bugs and does not change or introduce huge changes to the OS. The update comes a week after the company rolled out OxygenOS 4.0.1 to the two devices.
As you would expect from OnePlus, the company is rolling out the update in stages. This means that not all users will be getting it right off the bat, it will be made available to a small percentage of users first. A broader roll out is expected in the next few days so be patient.
Some of the changes OxygenOS 4.0.2 brings include updated APN settings, fixed Google Play Store download bug, fixed proximity sensor bug during calls and overall improved system stability. The company says that some users may still experience Wi-Fi connectivity fluctuations as this update does not fix that. This update does not bring Android 7.1 to the two devices so expect that at a later date when we get the update to fix Wi-Fi issues.
